Wedding bells are ringing and I am thrilled to plan my upcoming wedding! While the engagement ring was a big purchase, I am now focused on budgeting for our wedding rings. But how much should we spend on them? Let’s break it down!
According to a study, the average cost of a female wedding band in 2020 was $1,000, while the average cost of a male’s wedding band was $500. Converted to Aussie dollars, that’s around $1,600 for my wedding band and $800 for my future husband’s.
But wait, there’s more! Some couples opt to spend between 4% and 8% of their annual income on their wedding bands. As the average Australian salary is $82,00, that means we should spend between $3,000 and $6,500 on our wedding rings. That’s a lot of dough!
When it comes to styles, white gold is a popular choice for brides, while tungsten has been a favorite for grooms. But we can never go wrong with classic platinum for both male and female styles.
As we choose our wedding rings, my fiancé and I are excited to find rings that symbolize our love and commitment to each other. We can’t wait to exchange them on our special day!
As I begin the search for the perfect wedding bands, I’ve discovered some interesting wedding ring facts that I just have to share. Did you know that couples in Australia spend an average of $1,200 on their wedding rings? That’s a lot of smashed avocado toast!
And while classic wedding bands are still popular, it seems that some grooms are getting a little more adventurous with diamond-studded or hammered metal designs. Who says bling is just for the ladies?
But my favorite fun fact has to be that nearly 80% of couples shop for their wedding rings together. I mean, what could be more romantic than arguing over the perfect ring while sweating in a crowded jewellery store?
And speaking of sweating, did you know that the average time spent shopping for wedding rings is around 3 months? That’s plenty of time to change your mind, second-guess your choices, and stress out about making the right decision. Fun times!
But in all seriousness, finding the right wedding bands is an exciting journey that I’m happy to be on with my partner. We’re looking forward to discovering rings that make us both happy and symbolize our love in a way that’s uniquely ours.
